Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Calvani.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been an entrepreneur starting with even candy selling blank skateboards, and it definitely grew to a little bit out of my control. I fell into addiction and while working on a clothing brand and transferring from making music, I fell apart a little bit after I came back from doing eight months in jail. I realize that we don’t have to rush anything in life that isn’t ment for us. And working hard and being a good person to those around you is what really matters. I own a kava for the last four years and I think the product is what really helped me slow down from addiction. I’ve been able to work hard focus on family and creating my own and starting to think about business that can be more mainstream. I opened a coffee shop about five months ago, and we also sell our wide variety of tea and adaptogens and a wide variety of lattes, some simple and some more elegant and more of a dessert. If you wanna call it it’s a slow growing process, but I know we can make it. I invite anybody to follow their passion or work hard until you find a passion.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There has been lots of struggles. I think some of the biggest struggles is things I’ve brought upon myself. It’s easy to turn around and say that these outside forces are pushing against what you want when you sit back and think about what’s held you back and what’s held me back in this life, I can always think of things that I did my own free will whether it was breaking the law or doing something. My parents probably wouldn’t want me to do put these struggles have made me who I am. I will never shy away from the things I’ve done or the things I’ve been through and it only makes a person stronger. I love adversity. I love going against the grain.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At the moment, I own two businesses and I feel like these are my works. It used to be hoodies and 1 of 1 pieces. And now it’s been trusted in me and my business partners to do what’s right to make these businesses the best that they can be for the community what were known for is our quality and our ambition were constantly changing things and creating things that are pushing the bar.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Relationships are very important, but it’s not about the quantity of the relationships with the quality people will take you far, but it’s gotta be the right people that you can trust that has your best interest at heart while you have theirs in yours
