Hi Sergey, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Sergey Kashkin, and I am a Director of Culinary Operations and Executive Chef with nearly four decades of experience in the culinary and hospitality industry. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in fine dining restaurants, luxury resorts, and some of Naples’ most respected private clubs and golf communities.
The culinary profession has given me the opportunity to work with talented teams, lead complex operations, and create memorable dining experiences for thousands of guests over the years. What began as an interest in cooking eventually became a lifelong career built on dedication, continuous learning, and a commitment to excellence.
Today, I oversee culinary operations while continuing to do what I enjoy most: bringing people together through exceptional food, hospitality, and service.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most careers, mine was built step by step rather than overnight. I started in the kitchen as a cook, later advanced to sous chef positions, and eventually became an Executive Chef and Director of Culinary Operations.
One of the biggest lessons I learned along the way is that success in this industry requires consistency, patience, and a willingness to keep learning. Every position taught me something valuable and helped prepare me for the leadership responsibilities I have today.

As a Director of Culinary Operations and Executive Chef, I oversee culinary programs, menu development, team leadership, and dining experiences across a wide range of culinary operation.
I am known for combining classical culinary techniques with creativity, consistency, and a strong commitment to hospitality. What I am most proud of is building successful teams and helping develop talented culinary professionals throughout my career.
I believe what sets me apart is my ability to balance culinary excellence, operational leadership, and guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.

One thing I would like to share is the importance of giving back to the profession. Throughout my career, I have benefited from the guidance of talented chefs, mentors, and industry leaders, and I believe it is important to do the same for the next generation.
I am an active member of the American Culinary Federation and enjoy supporting culinary education, professional development, and industry events. Being involved with the culinary community allows me to continue learning, share my experience, and help strengthen the profession that has given me so much over the years.
