Inspiring Conversations with Lea Hunt of SuiteSpace St. Johns

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lea Hunt.

Hi Lea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My path to founding SuiteSpace was shaped by years of working alongside business owners, professionals, and organizations across a variety of industries. Throughout that experience, I became increasingly fascinated by what helps people succeed and, more importantly, what gets in their way.

I noticed that many talented professionals weren’t struggling because they lacked skill, ambition, or vision. More often, they lacked access to the infrastructure, resources, and professional environment needed to support their growth. They were building great businesses from kitchen tables, coffee shops, spare bedrooms, and makeshift offices while trying to project credibility, stay organized, and serve their clients at a high level.

That observation sparked the idea for SuiteSpace.

What began as a workspace solution evolved into something much broader. Today, SuiteSpace serves as a business service center designed to help entrepreneurs and independent professionals establish a professional presence, access flexible workspace, connect with resources, and build sustainable businesses with confidence.

As both a business owner and someone deeply interested in how people interact with their environments, I’ve always believed that the right setting can change outcomes. When people have access to professional infrastructure, supportive resources, and a community that understands what they’re building, they’re better positioned to thrive.

That belief continues to guide everything we do at SuiteSpace. Our mission is simple: create an environment where independent professionals can focus less on figuring everything out alone and more on growing the businesses and lives they envision for themselves.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many small business owners, I’ve had to navigate the challenges of building something from the ground up while balancing limited resources, uncertainty, and the realities of entrepreneurship.

One of the biggest challenges has been helping people understand that SuiteSpace is more than just office space. We’ve worked hard to create an environment that provides real value through professional presence, flexible access, and business resources, and communicating that difference has been an ongoing journey.

At the same time, those challenges have helped shape the business. They’ve forced us to listen, adapt, and continually improve our services to better meet the needs of the professionals we serve. Looking back, the obstacles have been some of our greatest teachers.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about SuiteSpace St. Johns?
SuiteSpace is a business service center designed to help entrepreneurs, independent professionals, and growing businesses establish a strong professional presence. Through our business presence solutions, flexible workspace, meeting facilities, and business resources, we provide the infrastructure many small businesses need to operate confidently and professionally.

What we’re known for is our attention to first impressions.

Many talented professionals deliver exceptional work but don’t always have access to the type of environment that reflects the quality of their services. At SuiteSpace, we’ve intentionally created a space that helps bridge that gap. We believe independent businesses deserve the same level of professionalism, credibility, and hospitality often associated with larger organizations.

What sets us apart is that we don’t simply provide space. We provide an experience. Every detail, from the appearance of our facility to the way guests are welcomed and served, is designed to help our members make a positive and lasting impression on the people they serve. In many ways, our environment becomes an extension of our clients’ brands. Our facade becomes their facade.

One of the things I’m most proud of is our commitment to supporting the people working behind the scenes in our communities. The consultants, therapists, attorneys, coaches, creatives, and service providers who are building meaningful businesses often need more than four walls and a desk. They need a professional home that reflects the value they bring to others.

At its core, SuiteSpace exists to help independent professionals present with confidence, operate with credibility, and build sustainable businesses. We want our clients to know they don’t have to look like a large corporation to be perceived as professional. Our goal is to provide the environment, resources, and support that help them show up at their very best.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice would be to focus less on looking successful and more on building a strong foundation.

When you’re first starting out, it’s easy to become distracted by logos, social media, websites, and what everyone else appears to be doing. Those things certainly have their place, but sustainable businesses are built on much more fundamental things: delivering value, serving people well, creating reliable systems, and consistently showing up even when progress feels slow.

One thing I wish I understood earlier is that growth rarely happens as quickly as we imagine it will. Building trust, credibility, and a strong reputation takes time. The businesses that last are usually the ones that remain committed long after the initial excitement wears off.

I’d also encourage new entrepreneurs to ask for help sooner. You don’t have to have all the answers on day one. Surround yourself with people who have experience, stay curious, and be willing to learn as you go.

Most importantly, remember that success is not built in a single breakthrough moment. It’s built through hundreds of small decisions made consistently over time.
