Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Andrejko.
Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The Mystic Moon Tea & Goods started small in my backyard herb garden, with weekends spent growing, researching, and experimenting with tea blending. What began as a creative passion for herbs and handcrafted goods quickly grew into something much bigger. We’ve evolved from just handmade gifts for friends and family into a full-blown brand within a few years.
I started signing up for local markets with just a few tea blends and a dream. We’ve grown enough that each year we add more events and bigger festivals to our calendar throughout North East Florida and Southern Georgia. Our teas and products can also be found in a few local stores in the area.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Running a small business means constantly learning, adapting, and solving problems as they arise. One of the biggest challenges has been navigating the realities of market travel—from unpredictable weather and long days to logistics and inventory management. Every event teaches me something new. Those challenges have pushed me to become more flexible, resourceful, and resilient, and they’ve played a big role in helping both me and the business grow.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Mystic Moon Tea & Goods. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Mystic Moon Tea & Goods is a small-batch herbal goods brand focused on creating comforting, intentional products that bring a sense of calm and enjoyment to everyday life. We specialize in herbal teas, simmer pots, handcrafted seasonings, and tub teas, as well as hand-knotted macrame decor.
What sets us apart is the care and intention behind everything we make. These aren’t mass-produced products; they’re created in small batches with attention to detail, meant to add a little warmth and comfort to everyday routines like cooking, relaxing, or winding down at home.
We’re most proud of the relationships we’ve built through local markets and events. Being able to connect directly with customers, hear their feedback, and see them come back for their favorites means everything to us. I’m most looking forward to being able to offer custom tea blend services for customers in the future.
At its core, The Mystic Moon Tea & Goods is about simple, handcrafted products that feel thoughtful, comforting, and made with genuine care.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
A lot of my inspiration comes from physical books and hands-on learning rather than digital resources. I really enjoy hardcover books on herbs, botanicals, and old-world cooking and home remedies—they tend to feel more grounded and connect well with the kind of products I create.
I’m also inspired by stories of other local small business owners and makers, especially those who have built their brands from the ground up. Those kinds of real-life journeys are motivating and relatable, especially when balancing creativity with the day-to-day realities of running a business.
Outside of that, a lot of my “resource” is simply experience—trial and error at markets, customer conversations, and constantly learning what works and what doesn’t. That hands-on feedback is one of the most valuable tools I have.
