Meet Venus Nicole of Voilà Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Venus Nicole.

Hi Venus, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am a marketing professional with over 10 years of experience in the industry. I started in door-to-door marketing, which gave me an early understanding of how people respond, make decisions, and connect with a message in real time. From there, I worked my way into digital marketing, where I found my specialty and began building a deeper strategic skill set.
I have over six years of agency experience, and that is where I truly honed my craft. During that time, I discovered my natural ability to understand, evaluate, and improve marketing strategies. It became clear to me that strategy is not just something I learned. It is an intuition I have developed through years of observation, analysis, and hands-on experience.
My educational background is in anthropology. I earned both my BA and MA in cultural anthropology, and I have always been fascinated by people: how they think, what influences them, how their environments shape their decisions, and why they choose what they choose. That background has become one of my strongest advantages as a marketer. I apply the same discovery method I used as an anthropologist to understand target audiences, evaluate buying behavior, and create marketing strategies that connect with people in a meaningful way.
I decided to build my own business because I loved the direct impact I had when working one-on-one with business owners. I wanted to move beyond supporting clients through someone else’s agency and create a space where I could work more closely with founders, understand their goals, and help them build marketing strategies that actually make them money.
Today, through Voilà Marketing, I help businesses grow through brand awareness, social media strategy, ad campaigns, and lead generation. What excites me most is the people I get to work with. My work allows me to partner with incredible business owners and their teams, learn about the services they bring to their customers, and help them communicate their value in a way that supports real business growth.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Taking the leap into entrepreneurship was definitely not a smooth road. It was exciting, rewarding, overwhelming, and uncomfortable all at the same time.
One of the biggest challenges for me was transitioning from the structure of a traditional 9–5 into complete ownership over my time, income, and success. When you work for yourself, there is no guaranteed pipeline, no built-in security, and no one else responsible for the outcome. Everything falls on you.
I also had to become comfortable with uncertainty and learn how to confidently put myself out there to find clients, build relationships, and grow the business. In many ways, it felt like transitioning from going to the supermarket for groceries to learning how to hunt and forage for yourself. You develop a completely different level of resourcefulness, resilience, and self-trust.
Another challenge was accepting that there was no employer to hide behind anymore. Every result, every decision, and every client experience reflected directly on me. That level of responsibility pushed me to grow both professionally and personally, and ultimately helped me become a stronger business owner and strategist.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Voila Marketing LLC, I specialize in strategic digital marketing solutions designed to help brands grow with intention, creativity, and measurable results. My expertise spans paid digital media, audience targeting, campaign strategy, branding support, and performance marketing across channels such as social media, display, video, streaming/CTV, audio, and search engine marketing (SEM).

What sets me apart is my ability to combine high-level strategy with hands-on execution. With over a decade of marketing experience across political, corporate, nonprofit, and e-commerce industries, I understand how to build campaigns that not only look visually strong, but also perform. I focus heavily on understanding audience behavior, identifying the right channels, and creating campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, leads, and conversions.

I built Voila Marketing LLC on the belief that marketing should feel intentional, impactful, and authentic. I pride myself on being highly organized, adaptable, and collaborative while bringing a personalized approach to every client relationship. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all marketing. Every strategy I create is tailored to the client’s goals, audience, industry, and budget.

In addition to digital media buying and strategy, I also support brands through creative collaboration, experiential activations, and community-focused campaigns that help businesses build genuine connections with their audiences. I am especially passionate about helping brands elevate their presence through thoughtful storytelling and modern marketing approaches that resonate culturally and emotionally.

Brand-wise, I am most proud of building a company that reflects both professionalism and creativity while staying rooted in authenticity. As a woman-owned business, Voila Marketing LLC represents ambition, innovation, and the belief that strong marketing can create meaningful opportunities for businesses of all sizes. I am proud that my brand has become associated with strategic thinking, reliability, and campaigns that are both visually compelling and results-driven.

I want readers to know that Voila Marketing LLC is more than just a marketing company. It is a strategic partner for brands looking to grow intentionally and stand out in today’s digital landscape. Whether a client is looking to launch a campaign, grow brand awareness, improve performance, or connect more deeply with their audience, I bring passion, expertise, and a genuine commitment to helping brands succeed.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I believe risk-taking is necessary for growth, but I also believe the best risks are calculated, intentional, and aligned with a larger vision. To me, risk is not about making reckless decisions. It is about being willing to step outside of comfort zones, trust your abilities, and pursue opportunities that have the potential to create long-term impact.
One of the biggest risks I have taken was launching Voila Marketing LLC. Starting a business requires a great deal of faith, discipline, and resilience because there are no guarantees. I knew I was stepping into a highly competitive industry, but I also knew I had built years of experience, strong strategic skills, and a genuine passion for helping brands grow. Taking that leap forced me to bet on myself, my vision, and my ability to create something meaningful from the ground up.
Another aspect of risk-taking in my career has been my willingness to work across different industries and adapt quickly. I have worked in political marketing, corporate marketing, nonprofit campaigns, and e-commerce, all of which require different approaches, audiences, and communication styles. Each transition came with uncertainty, but those experiences helped me become a more versatile and strategic marketer.
I also believe there is risk in staying too comfortable. Some of the greatest opportunities come from being willing to evolve, learn new skills, and challenge yourself creatively and professionally. In marketing especially, the industry changes constantly, so remaining adaptable is essential.
At the same time, I approach risk thoughtfully. I am naturally very organized and strategic, so before making major decisions I evaluate the potential outcomes, prepare as much as possible, and think through both the opportunities and the challenges. I believe strong risk-taking combines ambition with preparation.
Overall, I view risk as an important part of personal and professional growth. Every meaningful accomplishment usually requires a level of uncertainty, courage, and belief in your ability to figure things out along the way.
