Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Halloween has always been my favorite holiday and I’ve always loved dressing up! When I graduated college I got into cosplay- dressing up as characters at conventions. When people started seeing my princess cosplays and Halloween costumes on my social media, they told me I should go to kids parties! I followed their advice, did some research, and started working for a company in St. Augustine. Frozen had just come out so I was booked and busy as Elsa every weekend! I fell in love with the magic and joy it brought to kids, so I opened my own business here in Jacksonville so we could reach even more families! My company also does local charity work with our organization “Wish Upon a Princess” such as Dream Day and visits to Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
With starting anything new, there is always a learning curve! I am getting more efficient with running my business every year and strengthening relationships with repeat clients. I have also gotten a lot better at styling wigs, teaching makeup techniques, and upgrading costumes to make the experience even more magical for our clients!
I think the most challenging part is keeping fully staffed to meet our demand! Most of our performers are musical theatre students who graduate and move away to start their careers! It’s always a revolving door of new performers, so we are always working on our training protocol to make it both thorough and easier to manage. This year we introduced an online training portal that makes our in-person training much more streamlined!

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
All our major company shifts follow the entertainment industry! When a popular new kids movie/TV show/book comes out, we need to work quickly to get quality party supplies and costumes to meet that new client demand! For example: when K-Pop Demon Hunters came out this past year, we needed to quickly find a culturally accurate performer and train them to truly become that character. Learning all the songs, dances, and mannerisms that will make them convincing to all the little fans!
