Community Highlights: Meet Latascha Williamson of SLANT stand by Work by Williamson, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Latascha Williamson.

Hi Latascha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello,
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist by profession and now an entrepreneur. I originally developed the SLANT stand for clinicians like myself to use in therapy sessions. However, I quickly learned that this convenient dry erase board with attachable mirror and clips is useful for everyone.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Designing a product with different pieces and making sure they all fit together perfectly (shapes, sizes, how they work, and how long they last) was quite the puzzle. Plus, I really wanted to use local companies and makers whenever I could, while still making sure the product is top-notch and easy on the wallet for everyone. Getting all those things to work together at once is a real test of problem-solving, being adaptable, and staying committed.

As you know, we’re big fans of SLANT stand by Work by Williamson, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Im a hard working Speech-Language Pathologist and entrepreneur. The SLANT stand was created from a need I personally saw in real-life clinical settings. What started as an idea turned into a vision and eventually a product through research, conversations, encouragement, and support from friends, family, and colleagues who believed with me.

The SLANT stand was designed to be practical, versatile, and easy to use in many different environments. I’m proud that it was created with intention and with a focus on helping people communicate, organize, teach, and engage more effectively.

What sets me apart is that this product was built from firsthand experience and constant feedback. I truly listen to what people need and continue improving the product based on real use and real experiences.

How do you define success?
To me, success is about having the courage to take the first step, staying true to your goals and values, being patient with the journey, having the strength to keep pushing forward despite obstacles, and being humble enough to listen, learn, and keep growing.
