Brandy Bennett’s story is one built on grit, sacrifice, and determination. Long before becoming the owner of The Betty Brow Co.
, Bennett was bartending full time while raising two daughters and putting herself through school — often balancing survival, motherhood, and ambition all at once.
Already involved in the tattoo industry, she discovered a deeper passion in helping women feel confident in their own skin through permanent makeup and restorative beauty services. With little money and a dream bigger than her circumstances, Bennett borrowed money to enroll in her first training class, unknowingly taking the first step toward building one of Ocala’s most recognized beauty brands.
Seven years later, Bennett has become an award-winning permanent makeup artist, esthetician, brow specialist, areola restoration artist, and paramedical tattoo artist with multiple certifications and community awards including “Best of the Best,” “Better Than the Best,” and “Best of the 352.”
Known for her “girls support girls” mindset, Bennett has created more than a beauty business — she has built a culture centered around empowerment, confidence, and opportunity for both clients and fellow women entrepreneurs.
Her newest chapter may be her biggest yet: purchasing and restoring a historic downtown Ocala property to become the future home of The Betty Brow Co. A dream she’s had since childhood, the property represents security, growth, and legacy — not only for herself, but for the women and mothers she employs and mentors along the way.
Raised in Ocala and coming from humble beginnings, Bennett says her greatest accomplishment isn’t the awards or expansion — it’s being able to help others believe in themselves while proving that hard work and resilience can completely change the trajectory of a life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building a business from the ground up has been anything but a smooth road, but every obstacle helped shape the woman and entrepreneur I am today. Like many small business owners, I started with a dream, a strong work ethic, and the determination to create something bigger than myself. There were long nights, financial risks, moments of self-doubt, and countless sacrifices behind the scenes that people rarely see.
One of the biggest challenges was learning how to grow while carrying the weight of being both the visionary and the person responsible for making everything happen. From building a clientele from scratch to continuously investing in advanced education, certifications, equipment, and branding, every step required persistence and faith in myself even when things felt uncertain.
As a woman in business, I also faced criticism, competition, and people who underestimated my vision. Instead of allowing that to discourage me, I used it as motivation to work harder and continue proving to myself that I was capable of creating something extraordinary.
Today, after seven years in business, multiple certifications, publications, community awards, and now the purchase of our new historic downtown Ocala location, I can honestly say every challenge was worth it. The obstacles taught me resilience, discipline, leadership, and the importance of never giving up on your vision, even when the journey feels difficult.

For the past seven years, we have specialized in award-winning permanent makeup services including brows, eyeliner, lip blush, correction work, and paramedical tattooing, while also offering advanced esthetic services such as lash extensions, facials, waxing, brow artistry, Korean skincare treatments, corrective skincare, and anti-aging solutions.
What truly sets us apart is our commitment to innovation, education, and creating an unforgettable client experience. We are proud to offer both Biotanical skincare and advanced Korean skincare lines designed to deliver real results while maintaining healthy, glowing skin. We also designed and launched our own luxury LED mask system, LUMEIRA — “The Light of Glass Skin.” Featuring seven advanced light wavelengths, LUMEIRA was created to target multiple skin concerns including acne, inflammation, collagen production, skin tightening, redness reduction, hydration, and overall anti-aging rejuvenation.
Beyond services, The Betty Brow Co. continues to grow into a full beauty education and lifestyle brand. Alongside our new historic downtown Ocala location, we are preparing to launch a future training facility dedicated to educating aspiring estheticians and permanent makeup artists, helping the next generation of beauty professionals build successful careers with confidence.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned throughout my journey is that success is built through consistency, resilience, and the willingness to keep showing up even when things get difficult. Building a business is not just about talent — it’s about sacrifice, discipline, growth, and believing in your vision long before anyone else sees it.
I’ve learned that setbacks are not failures; they are lessons that force you to become stronger, smarter, and more prepared for the next level. Every obstacle I faced helped shape me into a better leader, business owner, and woman. I’ve also learned the importance of investing in yourself through education, certifications, continued training, and surrounding yourself with people who genuinely support your growth.
Most importantly, I’ve learned that confidence changes lives. Through beauty, skincare, permanent makeup, and education, I’ve been able to help women feel empowered, beautiful, and confident in their own skin — and that has become the true purpose behind everything I do. Watching clients, employees, and future artists grow alongside my business has been one of the most rewarding parts of this entire journey.
