Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Reid.
Hi Olivia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into this business really started long before I realized it could become a career. As a little girl, I loved going over to friends’ houses and seeing all the different types of homes—how they were laid out, how they felt, and what made each one unique. I didn’t know it at the time, but that curiosity would stay with me.
That feeling came full circle when I began my career in property management in Ohio as a leasing agent at a 500+ unit community with over 29 different floorplans—which, honestly, is not the norm. From the very beginning, I believe God placed me in an environment that challenged me to grow quickly. I had to learn how to listen closely to prospective residents and narrow down their wants and needs to the right unit and specific floorplan. It pushed me to develop both a strategic mindset and a people-first approach early on, and I’m incredibly grateful for that foundation.
My path eventually led me to California, where I gained more experience and became deeply involved in system implementations, operational strategy, and large-scale migrations. During that time, I had the opportunity to spearhead a major system migration of over 4,500+ units across more than 500 properties. That experience ultimately positioned me to step into a remote leadership role overseeing an entire multifamily division operating within Entrata for a company. It allowed me to bridge both the technical and operational sides of the business, helping teams navigate complex changes while continuing to perform at a high level while growing the multi family division.
Over time, I recognized a gap in the level of internal support companies had during these migrations. I felt a clear calling to step out and build something of my own, something more hands-on and intentional. Starting my business was a leap of faith, but one that aligned with what I felt was my purpose: to help organizations not just implement systems, but truly succeed with them.
Today, my work focuses on helping companies navigate complex migrations, streamline operations, market themselves properly, provide custom one on one training and build processes that support long-term growth. Looking back, I can see how every step, from that childhood curiosity to the challenges early in my career, was part of a bigger plan, and I’m grateful for where it’s led me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Overall, it’s been a fairly smooth road—but that’s largely because of the challenges we’ve already worked through behind the scenes. In operations, you can’t always predict every issue until you’re in it. Early in my career, I experienced firsthand how quickly things can shift and how important it is to adapt in real time.
Those experiences are exactly what shaped how we operate today. We’ve encountered the roadblocks, the limitations, and the operational gaps—so now we’re able to anticipate them before they ever impact our clients.
Our goal is for the process to feel seamless on their end. Even if things are complex behind the scenes, we take that on so our clients can stay focused on what they do best, serving their residents, managing their teams, and maintaining strong day-to-day operations. In many ways, any “rockiness” becomes our responsibility, not theirs—and that’s very intentional.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
TopTier Onboarding Consulting is a property management consulting firm that specializes in onboarding system implementations, with a strong emphasis on Entrata. At our core, we partner with ownership groups and operators to ensure their Entrata migrations are not only successful at launch, but also set up for long-term success. Our work is very hands-on, we operate as an extension of our clients’ business, supporting everything from system setup and data strategy to team training, process development, post-launch optimization, marketing alignment, always with the goal of bridging the gap between the software itself and real-world operations within Entrata’s framework.
What we’re really known for is making complex transitions feel seamless. Every portfolio operates differently, so we take a highly tailored and proactive approach, building workflows that actually make sense for the teams using them day to day based on their specific business model, because no two are the same. What sets us apart is our real-world operational experience. We’ve been on the management side leading large-scale migrations, while also completing Entrata’s full training pathways, being self-taught in the system, and operating within it consistently for nearly a decade.
Brand-wise, what we’re most proud of is the level of trust we’ve built. We approach every partnership with precision, transparency, and a genuine investment in our clients’ success. More than anything, we want readers to know that TopTier Onboarding Consulting isn’t just about getting you live on a system, it’s about elevating how you operate. Whether it’s a new implementation or ongoing support, our focus is always on creating efficient, scalable processes that allow teams to perform at their highest level.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My biggest advice for anyone starting out is to embrace the learning that comes from being in challenging environments early on. A lot of my growth came from being placed in situations where I had to adapt quickly, ask questions, and figure things out in real time.
When I started in property management, I didn’t fully realize how much those foundational experiences would shape my career. Looking back, I wish I had understood that every challenge was building a skill I would need later on. With that, I learned that confidence comes from experience, not from having everything figured out upfront.
And finally, I’d say don’t be afraid to lean into faith, intuition, or whatever grounds you personally. For me, that’s been a big part of how I’ve navigated uncertainty and made decisions, especially when stepping into new territory or building something of my own.
If I could summarize it, I’d say stay open, stay teachable, and trust that even the hard seasons are preparing you for what’s next.
