Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I graduated from University of South Florida in 2023 with a degree in Finance and experience in Accounting. After that, I spent time working as an Analyst at a small fintech company. From the get-go, I worked with some of the biggest wealth management companies in the US to help them implement and manage their financial operations. Learning how to provide quality customer service in a numbers-oriented field primed me for my eventual leave from the company to open up my own bookkeeping business. This is not always the case, but there can be a lack of quality customer service in the accounting field, and I knew that this would be part of how I would set myself apart from the crowd. My clients can send me an email and I always (pending an act of God) respond within 24 hours; they know they are a priority to me. I now work with clients all over the United States across many sectors, including legal services, construction, wealth management, consulting and more.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It is always tough when you’re first starting out. You can hang your shingle up but it doesn’t mean anyone’s going to buy anything. I’ve had to get comfortable with not knowing everything and giving myself grace, no matter what happens. But simultaneously, I’m pleased to say that I have been very fortunate to have been supported by those around me, as my business really got started via word of mouth and was lucky enough to have retained some truly wonderful clients that I am proud to work with.
