Inspiring Conversations with Judenie Raphael of Lifeline Audiology & Hearing Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Judenie Raphael.

Hi Judenie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It’s hard to believe how far a dream and a drive for flexibility can take you. Looking back on my path, I’m incredibly grateful for every step that led me here:

2013: Graduated from Audiology school and began my mission to help people hear better.

The Foundation: Spent 2 years in the nonprofit sector followed by 10 years as a clinical audiologist at a local hospital, honing my skills and seeing the gaps in traditional care.

The Pivot: During the uncertainty of COVID, I took a leap of faith. I founded Lifeline Audiology & Hearing Solutions with one goal: the freedom to homeschool my children and own my schedule.

What started as a “side hustle” has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined. Today, we have 4 locations and a dedicated team of 9 employees. My perspective has shifted—I don’t just work for myself anymore; I work for my team. Their success is my success, and I’m honored to lead such a committed group.

Giving Back: Lend An Ear Outreach
With our growth came a responsibility to address a heartbreaking reality: many who need hearing aids simply cannot afford them.

To bridge this gap, I’ve stepped into the role of Executive Director of Lend An Ear Outreach, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing hearing health to those in need. I’m also thrilled to share that our full-time audiologist, Dr. Ortiz, has joined this mission as Co-Chair.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building Lifeline Audiology & Hearing Solutions has been a journey of faith and resilience. There have been seasons of “plenty”—where the schedule is full and the energy is high—and then there have been those quieter moments. You know the ones: where you’re leaning on prayer, waiting for the next referral to come through or the next patient to walk through the door.

But looking back, the common thread is clear: God has been incredibly faithful.

The “Bottom Line” of Faith
Even in the leanest weeks of starting a business during a global pandemic, we have been blessed with a consistency that I don’t take for granted.

Reliability: We have never missed a moment where we couldn’t pay our business bills.

Commitment: We have never failed to process payroll for the employees who give so much to this practice.

Knowing that my team’s livelihood is secure allows us to focus on what matters most—providing the best care possible to our patients and our community through Lend An Ear Outreach. The “bumps” in the road have only made our foundation stronger.

As you know, we’re big fans of Lifeline Audiology & Hearing Solutions. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Lifeline Audiology & Hearing Solutions, we believe everyone deserves to hear their best. Whether we are conducting a newborn’s very first hearing test or fitting a veteran with life-changing hearing technology, our focus is on personalized care. We specialize in hearing conservation for industrial employees, ensuring their hearing is protected today and preserved for tomorrow. From managed care to underserved populations, we are proud to be the community’s trusted partner in hearing health.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
At the heart of everything is my family. My career as an audiologist provides the foundation, but the true reward has been the ability to homeschool my children. It’s about more than just academics; it’s the freedom to curate a childhood defined by learning, curiosity, and wonderful experiences.

I didn’t just build a practice to see patients; I built it to ensure that my children grow up with a front-row seat to what it looks like to pursue a passion while staying rooted in what matters most.
