Today we’d like to introduce you to Demi Judd.
Hi Demi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story starts here in my hometown. Born and raised in Saint Augustine, Florida.
This area has changed so much since I was a kid running down St. George Street.
Former St Augustine high school graduate, left for Bible college after graduation to study Christian leadership and theology.
For two years, I lived in California and traveled to over 10 different countries. I loved it, but one place was always on my mind. It was coming back home.
Morgan Wallen said it best when he said I can’t love you more than my hometown.
But I do even though it’s still strange bumping into friends from elementary school and high school school at the grocery store.
But an opportunity to serve your community cannot be matched!
After college, I worked for a local Bridal planning company where a help plan the most important day of a couples life. And fast forward to today getting the opportunity to not only help with one day, but to help find the perfect place to make memories happen!
Real Estate isn’t about the transactions for me. It’s about the relationships the friendships, the announcements and big moments in life. I can’t tell you how special it is to get baby shower, announcements and invitations. Going to weddings, graduations, helping prep for prom. It’s more than a house. It’s more than a contract. I’m helping families build roots while also creating a community for them.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a growth path. I wouldn’t say hard and I wouldn’t say easy. We’re moments hard. Yes. But each moment good and hard lead to who I am and how I care for my clients today.
Ive tried things and failed. Ive been on a team and off a team. Now building a team.
But one thing that was easy to stay true and consistent on is being myself. Driving my business through my heart not my pride, Putting people first and navigating and strategizing each different market together through data and thinking outside the box.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Since the beginning I have been HUGE on being authentic and adding value. When I first got into real estate, I was trying to think of how could I add value to a client? Who’s looking to buy yourself when I’m trying to learn how to help them.
Then I discovered I can add value in a different way. Through guides and resources, video YouTube Instagram whatever way, I can connect with them to make them feel like a local. To learn from a local and to think like a local.
So I put my love of marketing to the test, creating templates, videos anything that will showcase my hometown and how I help families make it possible.
Well, also authentically being myself through content in building a virtual relationship with people to know me like me and trust me to help make their dream possible
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I personally found agents I looked up to and asked them on a coffee date. Yes they may be a huge goal or role model to you but you can also make a huge impact to them too. having coffee and help both parties. It give you the opportunity to peel back the curtain and see what its like.
