Hi Kevin M, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Two years ago, I started experiencing severe back pain and began searching for relief. A friend suggested I try The Joint Chiropractic, highlighting their affordable and accessible care. I had always been skeptical about chiropractic care, dismissing it as nonsense. However, after my first visit, I felt incredible and was disappointed that I had spent 40 years without a proper adjustment. I became a member immediately and fell in love with the business and how it makes people feel, so much so that I bought The Joint (pun intended). I acquired the clinic in October 2025, and our business has seen a significant surge as we approach our Customer Appreciation event at the end of January.
This is quite different from what I’m known for, which is being one half of the groundbreaking Grammy-nominated music duo, Black Violin. BV plans to return to Duval at the Florida Theater in October 2026 on a 60-city US tour this year. Black Violin, a globally recognized brand, has been touring the world consistently for the past two decades. Since its inception in 2004, the band has achieved remarkable success, generating over $38 million in revenue.
I also own a Residential Real Estate brokerage in South Florida called Sylvester Residential, a client-focused boutique agency specializing in luxury residential sales.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I believe the most significant challenge for me is learning a completely new business. While I have extensive experience in the entertainment and real estate industries, the healthcare sector is undoubtedly unfamiliar territory for me. My perspective has always been that if I can succeed in the music industry and establish a thriving real estate business, I am confident that I can excel in any field.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Joint Chiropractic – St. Augustine. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

How do you think about happiness?
