Hi Alyssa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Before the opening of Elemental Lashes I was working at another lash salon located in Jacksonville Beach for 4 years. Towards the end of my time working there I dreamed of one day opening my own business and becoming my own boss. The day came where my husband and I moved to the Green cove springs area! We fell in love with the area and I found a space I wanted to rent to begin my business. However, I wanted to wait for the right time to start everything. For 4 months I drove an hour to and from the beaches until the day came where the salon I worked at decided to close their doors. In 2 weeks I was able to get my LLC, create my business plan, lease a space, and order all my supplies. The days leading up to opening my doors was stressful as I was almost starting over! Elemental Lashes was fully open September of 2023! It has been a truly amazing experience to build my business from the ground up and achieve every goal I create.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Any time you run a small business it is never a smooth road! At the beginning the struggle was making sure all the correct paper work was filled out and all the supplies were going to arrive in time. I would say that was the smallest hump to get over! Some other struggles that became present was building my clientele from scratch. I do have some amazing clients who have dedicated driving an hour to come support me! However, I did lose almost 65% of my clients at the beaches. Putting that trust in myself to start over was not easy. I did begin to overcome this struggle by dedicating to my craft and making sure that each new client knew that their experience was not going to be like any other. Working on every small detail creates an amazing experience that makes your client feel special and want to share your business with others. Since then I have truly gained amazing clients who I enjoy seeing them every visit. Every struggle has always become a blessing.

Elemental Lashes LLC specializes in all things lash and brow beauty! I am mainly known for Eyelash extensions. I take the time to truly get to know you. From what you do for work to your every day routine. This gives me a way to create a specialized lash look that compliments your natural eye shape & face shape. What sets me apart from others is the attention to detail. One look will not look great on every single person you see. Also, how I treat my clients is one of the biggest things I am complimented on. I provide my clients with a space that makes them comfortable to be vulnerable in. A quiet place for them to catch up on sleep or even to vent about their day. I am proud that Elemental Lashes has become the brand that I dreamed of working for as a beginning stylist. I am able to bring my hard work and dreams to light each day I come into work. I want your readers to know that what they dream to create in a business is possible if they put the hard work and effort in to make it happen. It is scary but it always works out!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is traveling during summer vacation to go camping in Michigan. We would stay 1-2 weeks at my grandparents trailer and spend our days swimming in the lakes, fishing, or at the arcade playing bingo or buying snacks. I still remember the distinct smell in the air when the sun went down and we lit the camp fires and spending time trying to catch lightning bugs! It truly was one of the favored moments of my childhood each time we went for a visit.
