Certified Master Financial Coach Selena Gibbons shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Selena , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I find much joy spending time with my husband and daughter at the park, enjoying a picnic overlooking the river. Family time is priceless and so fulfilling.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Certified Master Financial Coach Selena Gibbons the founder & CEO of The 800+ Financial Freedom Club LLC. I became a Certified financial life coach in December of 2019. I received my 2nd Master Financial certification through Dave Ramsey Solution in June of 2023.
I became a self-published author of “The Ultimate Guide and Tips Towards Financial Freedom” in August of 2020. I have written 4 books that are all on Amazon for purchase. I launched 800+ Financial Freedom Podcast in September of 2020.
I hosted my first Financial Literacy Workshop December of 2019. Selena is an inspirational and motivational speaker who travels to teach Financial Literacy. Selena loves to inspire and motivate change in communities.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful is when I stepped out on Faith and started and launched my business The 800+ Financial Freedom Club LLC December of 2019. It was Amazing to see people lives and mindsets change about their financial situation.
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Yes, when I coached one of my clients who was struggling in debt. I was able to calm her down by letting her know that I was able to help her. She gave me her undivided attention and felt hopeful for the first time in years.
I was able to set her up on a financial plan to help her get out of debt, as she begin to work the plan she started to see her debts being paid in full. She became one of my loyal clients.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would say that I am going to make sure my clients are happy with the end results of their service.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope they highlight my story of how I motivated, inspired, encouraged and empowered people to live a financially free lifestyle.
