An Inspired Chat with Stephanie Hall of Tampa

Stephanie Hall shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Stephanie, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Are you walking a path—or wandering?
Just like the Israelites, I wandered for the first 40 years of my life.

Now, at the age of 41, I’m no longer wandering…
I’m walking my divine path.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Good day!

I Am the illustrious Miss Stephanie Hall, also know as Ms. iShine Period, also known as thee tatted prophet, better known as The Mental Health Slayer.

I am founder of iShine Period, a holistic healing and spiritual empowerment community, chief executive officer of iShine iRock LLC, a dynamic branding agency, and the Host & Executive Producer of The Mental Health Slayer Podcast.

iShine Period is a women’s community geared towards promoting holistic healing and spiritual empowerment all while possessing, carrying and walking in the embodiment of The Holy Spirit, her presence and her power.

We meet for prayer, conduct mental health support group meetings, get-togethers, hold classes and workshops all to further promote my overall mission and purpose…to eliminate the mental health crisis.

iShine iRock LLC is my dynamic branding agency dedicated to transforming individuals into powerful and recognizable brands.
We do this by crafting unique brand identities that reflect our clients vision, mission and purpose in their life.

And last but not least…
The Mental Health Slayer is one of the powerful brands that I created from my identity, mission and purpose in life.
The Mental Health Slayer is the conqueror, the healer, the empowerer, the one who has battled mental illness at the forefront and defeated it by restoring my mind, my peace, my personal life balance and my duality.

The Mental Health Slayer Podcast is where I talk about my personal journey of healing and self discovery, provide teachings based on biblical principles which led to my healing, and also where I bring on guests to talk about their healing journeys and the images/brands that they walk in, now in the present.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that most shaped how I see myself is my personal and intimate relationship with God.

My relationship with God got so good and so tight, I created a teaching out of it.

Establishing a personal and intimate relationship with God has been the biggest eye opener for me.
It literally stripped the fog off of my life, my eyes and my brain to where I now see nothing but sunshine, even on cloudy days.

Establishing this relationship is what started my journey of healing and self discovery.

Five years ago, when I was at a crossroads, I was headed towards ending my life, not knowing at that time, I was just beginning it.

Five years ago was the end of my past life, the old me.
The one who only knew pain and sorrow.
The one who was in pain day and night.
The one who questioned her existence daily.
The one who popped pills just to appear and feel “normal”
The one who yet knew wasn’t average and mediocre, sure was acting like it.

So today, I now know that who I was before knowing God, was an actor.
I was putting on a whole show for the world to emulate someone or something I was never created to be.

I put an end to that show, and since then, I see myself for who I truly am.
Powerful.
Resilient.
WOMAN.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The biggest fear that I allowed to hold me back the most in my life wasn’t even my own personal fears…

It was the fears of others.

Hebrews 11:1 (GNT) states:
“To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see.”

Most people walk in fear and hold onto fear because it is seen every day.
In shows, movies, in every day life.

And its unfortunate that since so much fear is promoted, it keeps us bound to a scarcity mindset.

Having a scarcity mindset is one of the biggest triggers to our nervous system.
So when fear is presented, especially in our every day lives, we subconsciously do one a few things:
Fight
Flight
Freeze
Fawn

All which, when too much is posed, can be detrimental to one’s emotional state, which then triggers mental and physical health issues.

We’ve all heard of fear being the opposite of faith right?
Once you’re tapped in spiritually, one comes to innerstand that better.

Fear is a physical thing.
But faith is a spiritual thing.

While fear is seen by the physical eyes, faith is seen by the spiritual eyes.

Most can’t see spiritually because they are blinded by their fear, and may lack a true personal and intimate relationship with God.

With all of the fear that is posed in our society, it has ingrained in our images so much because this has been in operation for many generations in our ancestry.

So if you are called and chosen to break negative cycles, one of the first things you have to tackle is your personal fear, because you will be led on a further journey, and others may try to talk you out of it, because they tried it before and they failed.

Well, just because they failed does not mean it can’t be done.
Maybe it just couldn’t be done at that time in which they tried.

Also, this is major, so we can’t do it alone, yet most felt like they had to because they were the only ones bold enough to believe in something they did not see because in their hearts, they knew it was true.

Don’t let no one cast their fear upon you.
Do what you feel is right.

Of course, you want to use your discernment and divine judgment.
Don’t go out here just willy nilly.

Prepare yourself and then go for what you want, no matter how far you have to go to get it.

And most importantly, don’t let others hold you back if they aren’t willing to remove fear like you.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The biggest belief or project that I commited to, no matter how long it takes, IS ME.

When I started my LLC, I began to realize that my clients would be my project, hence meaning I am a project manager.

But before I started my LLC, or any of my other brands, the first project was me.

When I first started my journey 5 years ago, my first project was coming into my identity.

There I started my first brand, iShine Period, which is based off of the bible verse Matthew 5:16.

When God gave me this name for my first brand, He was basically telling me that my first project is getting to know who Stephanie really is. It was to answer the main question I had all of my life…Who am I and what was my purpose in life.

iShine Period answered that.
And I completed this project and went on to the next.

But it made me realize that my identity is ever evolving because I am open to change and I allow myself to grow and evolve and much is deemed necessary.

The more I grow, the more I evolve.
And since my identity is one of my biggest project, it looks like I’m going to be on this journey for the rest of my life.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope they talk about everything that I’ve overcome.
Everything that I built.
Everything that I taught others from it.

And I hope they keep that teaching and empowerment going.
