Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am the founder and principal of Paulston Agency LLC, dedicated to helping families protect their future, build generational wealth, and achieve financial confidence through education-driven planning. I specialize in life insurance, annuities, tax-advantaged wealth strategies, debt-free life planning, and private family banking concepts, empowering families to take control of their financial lives with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
My career began in hospitality, working in my family’s restaurant and catering businesses, where I learned the
value of hard work, humility, and treating people with genuine care. For nearly a decade, I helped lead the catering business, managing events from weddings to corporate functions, and honing operational and leadership skills. My expertise led me to a high-level hospitality career at Snoqualmie Casino in Washington state, where I served as Operations Manager and was with the Casino also for 10 years, overseeing 200–300 employees, five restaurants, a cigar lounge, and casino-wide beverage services. I also managed large-scale entertainment, including concerts, MMA events, VIP galas, and promotional experiences. During this time, I earned three “Most Valuable Salary Professional” awards in recognition of my leadership, dedication, and excellence. As a single mom during my casino career, I worked long, demanding hours, often missing precious time with my two older children. That experience shaped my core belief: time is the most valuable currency, and I was determined not to trade it for money.
Today, I enjoy the freedom to create my own schedule, prioritize my youngest son (now 13) and my husband, and put family and community service as non-negotiable priorities. Following my tenure at Snoqualmie, I served as Food & Beverage Director at a Hilton hotel property, further refining my leadership, operational excellence, and people-first approach.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I faced a personal turning point when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. This experience catalyzed my transition into the financial services industry, inspiring me to help families prepare for life’s uncertainties. I founded Paulston Agency LLC to empower families through life insurance, annuities, debt-free wealth strategies, and private family banking. My approach is grounded in education, integrity, and client-first service, providing practical solutions that protect families and build long-term security. I am a Resident Insurance Producer in Florida, a Non-Resident Producer in Washington, Maine, and Colorado, a
Florida Notary Public, and hold Annuity Certification credentials.
I am also deeply committed to community service. I served served on the Covington, WA Parks & Recreation
Commission (2021), volunteered with Backpack Buddies of Maple Valley (2021), and currently contribute through the Seawolf Privateers Foster Organization (2023–Present) and Parkview Church Family Ministry & Saturday Night Meal Service (2024–Present).
My journey — from family kitchens to casino floors, hotel boardrooms, and finally entrepreneurship — is a testament to resilience, reinvention, and purpose. Today, I leverage my experience, leadership, and passion to help families achieve financial freedom, security, and peace of mind, while staying true to my values: family first, service always, and empowerment for all.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth? Not exactly! I’ve juggled running high-pressure operations in hospitality, being a single mom, and even facing a serious autoimmune diagnosis. But every struggle taught me something valuable, how to manage challenges, stay focused on what’s important, and ultimately build a business that aligns with my values and gives me the freedom to put family and service first.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
People often assume that because I work in financial services, I’ve always been in this industry. In reality, I spent two decades in hospitality leadership, overseeing multiple restaurants, event operations, and a casino with hundreds of staff. Many are surprised that this background, combined with being a single mom, was what prepared me to launch my own agency and truly understand the importance of time, freedom, and protecting what matters most.
