Today we’d like to introduce you to Emma Laine.
Emma, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Emma Laine! I am from Jacksonville, FL born and raised. I grew up very close with my family. I am very family oriented and love being with them any chance I get! I’m so thankful for all the memories that we’ve made and will continue to make! I love to be outside, go fishing, look for sharks teeth at the beach, and be with friends and family! I’m a very traditional person with an old soul! I started singing before I could talk! My mom and dad told me when I was a baby I was humming to the radio in my car seat. As a toddler I was singing Toby Keith’s song “I Love This Bar” and telling them to turn the music up. Music and singing has always been a part of who I am. I started professionally singing in September of 2024. I have been so blessed with amazing opportunities and have felt so much love and support through it all! I know how much happiness music brings me and that’s what I want others to be able to experience through my music! Most importantly, God means the most to me! No matter what I know I can always lean on Him!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think there’s always going to be bumps in the road because nothing is perfect. For example, some of the struggles I faced have been confidence issues. I didn’t know how to get started because I’ve always been so shy, but having the right people around, has made all the difference in the world. It has opened opportunities that I didn’t even know were there.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a country and christian singer/songwriter! I’ve been singing my whole life, but never thought I’d be living out my dream now! I know how much happiness music brings me, so I want to bring that to others through my music! I also want to use my platform for God’s glory! I truly believe that music is a calling that he has set for me!
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Reach out to people and network with those in your area that are in the industry such as booking agents, voice coaches, musicians and local venues.
