Today we’d like to introduce you to E’Lonn Taylor.
Hi E’Lonn, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Music has been a big part of my life since as early as I can remember. A lot of my love for music comes from my mother. I can still remember every Saturday morning waking up to some good music playing while my mom cleaned the house. From Prince to Sade, Luther Vandross, Gerald Levert, the list goes on. I never complained about her music, just listened and now I understand the songs she had me listening to. I joined the church choir at First Timothy Baptist Church when I was around 6 years old and also sung in the chorus at First Coast High School. I then realized, nahhh I don’t want to sing LOL (although I can hold a decent tune). I couldn’t really figure out what I wanted to do with music but I knew I wanted to do SOMETHING. At all of my family functions, I was the one playing the music. I would bring my iPad and a speaker and we would PARTYYY!!!! I had a late cousin Kenny who was a DJ back in the days and at times I would watch him but I still wasn’t sure… until 2020. My mom told me to take the chance and try to DJ. I quickly started studying how to become a successful DJ. I then purchased a small controller just to see if I liked it…That quickly grew into me LOVING it. I then invested in myself (along with my best friend Al) and it grew from there. I started really small like family parties then shortly after, people started hearing that I DJ, watching my videos and listening to mixes I’ve uploaded and the rest was history. I am grateful for this journey so far.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been the hardest road but there were some obstacles. A lot of things I didn’t know how to do and I was lucky enough to find a mentor who have been DJ’ing since he was 14. He showed me a lot of the things I didn’t know and even showed me some of his technique. He is now in his 70’s and still can keep a crowd on the dance floor. Shoutout to DJ Rock!!

I am the proud owner of E’Lonn Enterprise LLC. I specialize in DJ / Karaoke entertainment, apparel, marketing, cleaning solutions and DJ training for kids. I am most proud of the community events I DJ. I love being in a positive environment where kids are free to be themselves and its safe. One thing that sets me apart from the others is, I will get out there and dance with the crowd. At times, I am even teaching the crowd how to line dance. I love the energy I receive when I am amongst the crowd. It keeps me hype and the vibes going.

Most people don’t know that I am a nerd. I majored in IT management and I love working with and on computers. I had to show people that nerds can be cool. LOL. I love watching Jeopardy, reading trivia books and soon I want to get some people together and start a trivia team!
