Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born in a beautiful coastal town called Vizag (Vishakhpatnam) in Southern India, where curiosity was my greatest teacher. I was fascinated by how things worked — taking apart radios, computers, and gadgets just to put them back together. That same curiosity eventually took me halfway across the world — first to Australia, where I earned my master’s in Information Technology, and later to the United States, where I completed a second master’s in Business Analytics and began building my career around one mission: using technology to connect people in meaningful ways.

Before founding DAMA Agency, I spent close to a decade working with brands like PwC, Amazon, American Express, Expedia Group and Mars Petcare to name a few, leading Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Engineering & Analytics, and DevOps transformations. I saw first-hand how even global enterprises struggled to translate their marketing vision into scalable technology. Those challenges inspired me to build something of my own — a company that could bridge the gap between strategy, technology, and creativity.

DAMA Agency began with a simple idea and a laptop: “Design. Automate. Measure. Achieve.” What started as a solo consulting journey has grown into a Salesforce-certified global partner, helping organizations modernize their cloud infrastructure, personalize their marketing, and harness AI-driven automation to drive real ROI.

At DAMA, we don’t just build systems — we build stories powered by data. I’ve always believed that every customer journey should feel personal, and every piece of technology should serve a human purpose. Looking back, my journey from a small coastal town in southern India to leading a U.S.-based martech and AI consulting firm has been anything but linear. DAMA is more than an agency; it’s the embodiment of that journey — proof that when curiosity meets courage, innovation follows.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road — but that’s what made it worthwhile.

When I first started DAMA Agency, I wasn’t backed by investors or a big network — just experience, grit, and belief in the vision. Building a Salesforce and AI consulting firm from the ground up while living as an immigrant in a new country came with its share of hurdles and I wore many hats during this journey. There were days when I had to be the architect, marketer, salesperson, and accountant all at once.

The biggest challenge wasn’t technology — it was trust. Convincing established enterprises to take a chance on a new agency required persistence and proof. I had to showcase not just technical skill, but the ability to deliver measurable business outcomes. Slowly, through one project at a time, one client conversation at a time, we built that credibility.

There were also personal sacrifices. Juggling full-time roles at companies like PwC while nurturing DAMA meant long nights, missed weekends, and learning to operate on resilience. Navigating visa challenges, cross-country moves, and cultural shifts tested me constantly — but they also built empathy, adaptability, and leadership.

The road to entrepreneurship is rarely straight. It’s filled with detours, doubt, and discipline. But every obstacle pushed me to innovate smarter, automate faster, and lead with heart. Today, when I see global brands trusting DAMA to power their Salesforce ecosystems, I’m reminded that struggle isn’t a setback — it’s the foundation of growth.
