Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Moo.
Anna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started playing guitar in Chile, at the age of ten. My first gig was at the age of twelve! I played in coffee houses and nightclubs in high school and in college. Moving to New York City at the age of twenty; I was the first woman salesperson selling guitars on 48th street. ( Then Music Row )
I met all kinds of musicians, and was guitarist Les Paul’s ( the inventor of the electric guitar) personal interpreter on tour in Argentina.
I returned to the quiet of Florida, married and have two wonderful children. They inspired me to start writing songs for children, and I have been working at it ever since!
That’s going on nearly forty years now.
I’ve been blessed to have received many notable awards and accolades, including five Grammy considerations, Parents Choice Gold awards and others….
I’m getting ready to release an online series of songs/animations for kids and families soon. I’m still having fun!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Trying to keep a balance of Faith, family, and work.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a singer, songwriter and recording artist of music for children.
I’m known for writing multicultural songs, and engaging melodies.
I’m most proud of being authentic personally and in performance.
The songs I write make kids feel grown up, and make grown ups feel like a kid.
How do you think about happiness?
Spending time with my grand kids makes me happy!
Gardening and cooking from my garden is a pleasure.
..And of course performing my music!
