Good morning Jada, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
When I wake up I pray and speak positively about my upcoming day. I bless my family and my business.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am the CEO and founder of Prestige Workforce, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing employment opportunities and support for individuals with differences.
With over ten years of experience in human services counseling, vocational rehabilitation, and therapeutic treatment, I also hold certifications in HR foundations and strategic business partnership.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My Mother. She knew before I was born that I had a special mission here on earth. She discussed with me that there was a calling on my life to help others. She always told me, “Remember, it’s better to give than to receive.”
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
It taught me that I was stronger than I could ever imagine. I learned that rock bottom truly has a trampoline; there’s only one direction to go, and that’s up.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
A cultural value I protect at all costs is treating people with the same respect and dignity that I expect for myself. I always strive to ensure that all my clients feel truly valued when they work with us at Prestige Workforce.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I only had 10 years left, I would immediately stop worrying about what others think of me and how I’m running my company.
Instead, I would dedicate myself to limitless creativity, aiming to expand and reach as many individuals as possible. Most importantly, I would truly start living for myself, ensuring I enjoy every one of my remaining days.
