Ariel Berardi shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Ariel, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
My private pride is the balance I’ve built after years of learning how to manage demands from different aspects of my life. I don’t allow the chaos to swallow me, but instead try to create something meaningful for my children, clients and myself. I always pour my heart into the details that make my clients feel beautiful and confident.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Ariel, and I’m a professional makeup artist based in North East FL. My brand is all about not only being camera-ready, but creating a look that will enhance YOU. I love creating any look requested from natural to full on glam.
As a mother of two boys with a demanding creative career, I know how important it is to feel confident and radiant even when life is busy. I feel that allows me to connect deeper with my clients whether it’s a bride on her wedding day, a client preparing to be on camera or someone simply wanting to treat themselves.
I’ve always been a very creative person with a lot of empathy. My goal is to inspire others, not only with makeup but with the reminder that you can pursue your passions while honoring every part of who you are.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
From a young age, I’ve always been drawn to creating beauty in the world around me. Whether that meant painting, decorating my spaces, styling anything I could get my hands on or dreaming of the perfect looks. Creativity was always my escape and joy. I loved to think outside of the box and always found myself lost in my own little world of imagination. It now feels natural that I can channel that passion into something meaningful for my brides and clients.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me resilience in a way success never could. As a single mother along with various life challenges, I had to figure out how to keep moving even when life felt overwhelming and uncertain. Those years of self-doubt and uncertainty pushed me to discover strength I didn’t know I had. Success can be validating, but struggle is part of what shaped who I am today. It forced me to grow and find my voice. It also made me fearless, which I believe is a powerful characteristic to have as an entrepreneur.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
I think what smart people are getting totally wrong today is what’s important behind the mask.
It’s not so much about intelligence, but prioritizing the wrong things. Authenticity gives meaning to success. It’s what makes relationships real and allows your work to resonate. I think letting your true self shine as an artist is huge and freeing.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m admiring nature or laughing with my boys. Nothing brings me more joy than being beachside running along the shore with my two little loves.
