Community Highlights: Meet Patricia Davis of sntHOME Interior Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Davis.

Patricia Davis

Patricia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My career background is fashion. I was in the industry for 48 years. I have a degree in interior design as well, but only entered the industry in 2018 where I worked for a company that had been an icon in my city for over thirty years. When covid hit like many companies it closed. After the closure I decided to open my own interior design showroom (during covid) in 2021 and created a one stop haven for all things in fabrics and products to capture the market for organic, natural and sustainable design and so the journey began. We opened a 5,000 square foot showroom but have now relocated and have two showrooms. We offer an educational component, focusing on creating awareness and educating clients on the impact of fast disposable home furnishings and design as we provide options, resources and access to clean, healthy versions. The journey has been long, but quite rewarding. Our goal is to impact people’s lives in meaningful and measurable ways as they navigate through the design process to live well in nurturing and grounding environments-physically and mentally supported.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been smooth. Like many small businesses there have been challenges of creating market visibility, growing our client database and securing funding for growth. You have to be resilient, committed to your vision, fateful to the process and yourself.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about sntHOME Interior Design ?

sntHOME is an Interior Design and Retail Showroom representing 218+ fabric mills and brands from around the world and provide twenty-one services.

We offer premium fabrics made from organic, natural and sustainable fibers satisfying the most decerning clientele—luxury, custom, bespoke, superior craftsmanship backed by a team who understands the needs of a lifestyle well lived. Intricate embroideries, cashmere-mohair-luxurious silks-fabulous linens-high quality cottons-virgin wools and blends are staples. We also offer fabrics made from the aloe vera plant, lotus flower, nettle, banana and other specialty fibers.

Our custom furniture options include an array of well-known and respected brands in modern, traditional and contemporary styles. FSC certified woods, cleaner and healthier stains, paints and finishes are standard. Sustainable, attractive built to last hardware in woods and metals.

Our services include custom drapery & bedding, upholstery, bespoke handcrafted throw pillows and cushions, color psychology, mood boards, space planning, product & art curation, consultations and implementation of “Pure Conscious Design” principles to include components of feng shui-celestial, Vastu Shastra, biophilic, Vitruvian and other modern design modalities.

We don’t do fake, fast, disposable furniture or design-synthetic or polyester fabrics, things that will haunt our planet forever or impact our health and quality of life in harmful and negative ways for generations.

We do Mindful, Timeless, Quality, Elegant and Real with No Apologies.

We create design that connects buyers to the process and the materials they choose in special ways, adding heartfelt meaning and consciousness to their home’s environment.

Every great design project begins with a personal vision, carefully thought out plans, a well defined purpose and attention to functionality catered to the way you live and your personal style. This principle and core value is what drives us and the services we provide. Your home is “our home.”

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Seek out others in the industry who’s doing something you’re not, connect with them and learn everything you can. Also, think outside the box for mentors, for example a paint specialist can help you see color in a whole different way, or a woodworker who builds furniture can broaden your knowledge of what quality furniture really is. Look for people who are experts but have retired from the industry, who have the time and willingness to pass along secrets to the next generation because they want to see the trade survive.
