Hi Tiff, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
BULKHEAD ENERGY Company is THE only Veteran-owned and operated energy drink company in existence. Most are veteran-founded.
100% USA-made and distributed.
Started in San Diego, CA in 2020 during the height of the COVID outbreak when small businesses were struggling to keep up. Founded by an active service member who wanted to give other service members and first responders an energy source that provided what they need to accomplish their mission without the inevitable crash like other energy drinks.
The BULKHEAD team is comprised of mostly U.S. veterans of the Navy and Marine Corps and some who are currently still serving.
Recently made appearances during 2025 Daytona Bike Week and a charity event at the USS Oreleck.
Some of the proceeds for every can purchase go to funding charities that support veterans and their families in the fight for PTSD awareness.
BULKHEAD is featured on all social media platforms (IG, TikTok, and FB).
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most small businesses, the road to get started wasn’t easy, especially during the years that COVID took over the world and tons of small businesses went under. It was not feasible to do anything on a large scale at the time due to the world’s uncertainty, so we really did rely on our community in San Diego and the military and first responders community to get started. In the early days when everyone was stuck at home because they couldn’t work, the military, the law enforcement, the EMTs and nurses were still out there doing their jobs so in a way, we would like to think we were helping each other in those moments. If not for them, I’m sure our future would be very different.

Our story began in San Diego, CA, when a Sailor aboard a Navy ship envisioned an energy drink that could power any mission—without the dreaded caffeine crash. At the time, such a product didn’t exist. In 2020, that vision became reality when the Sailor assembled a dedicated team to bring his idea to life.
From the start, our brand has honored its military roots. The name “BULKHEAD” and each of our drink names are inspired by military and Navy terms, infused with playful yet meaningful jargon as a tribute to the origins and heritage that our company was built upon.
We take pride in serving those who serve, and those that do the hard jobs—current and former military members, first responders, and anyone who demands the best for their body. Our drinks are crafted with clean, premium ingredients:

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
When I was growing up, I was the quiet kid at school. I didn’t talk much. I was different at home though, I grew up with a house full of cousins and I am the oldest of 4 siblings and older than most of my cousins so I was the one taking care of everybody. I played outside most of the time. I liked to play basketball and ride my bike and my cousins and I would like to set off fireworks and light things on fire. We were little troublemakers.
