Meet Nathan Moeiny of By Your Grace

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathan Moeiny.

Hi Nathan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2019, a previous company I was involved with purchased a building and business located at 4100 Haines Street, just one block away from Long Branch Elementary School.

At the time, I was in the process of moving into a new home and had extra household goods I hoped to donate to the school. However, I was told they couldn’t accept items “off the street.” I returned to our newly built makeshift office and shared what had happened, saying, “There’s a school right down the street in one of the most underserved areas—we need to help them.”

So we asked ourselves: What can we do?

It was fall of 2019 when we decided to take action. We reached out to the school and were introduced to Dr. Graham. After touring the school and meeting the incredible staff, we decided to organize a toy drive and committed to providing a $50 gift for every student.

We then sent out a call for support to our industry partners and raised $12,000.

The following year, the COVID-19 pandemic hit. While many schools closed their doors, Dr. Graham went above and beyond—bringing in as many students from surrounding districts as possible to ensure they had a safe, stable learning environment.

Inspired by this unwavering commitment, the idea to form a nonprofit began to take shape. After navigating the lengthy process, By Your Grace was officially established, and in December 2023, we proudly sponsored our first toy drive under the organization’s name.

Since then, By Your Grace has been able to do so much more: funding field trips, contributing to the computer science program, supplying essential school materials, and organizing fun experiences like pizza days and ice cream socials.

Looking back at our journey—from supporting 150 students to now reaching over 450 by 2025—it’s incredible to see the impact that’s been made.

In 2025, we were honored to welcome Dr. Graham to the By Your Grace Board of Directors. With his deep-rooted influence in the community, we’re excited to continue growing the organization and making By Your Grace a recognized and trusted name in our city.

Now approaching our 7th year, we are proud to announce our 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament, taking place on November 7, 2025, at Queens Harbour Yacht & Country Club—generously sponsored by our valued industry partners.

Fun fact: Since launching our charity golf event, we’ve grown from raising $12,000 in 2019 to an incredible $80,000 in 2024—all thanks to the support of this community.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This is something driven by passion—so when challenges come up, they rarely feel like true obstacles. The biggest hurdle we face is connecting with larger businesses willing to partner and support the mission.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about By Your Grace ?
